The song's title roughly translates as, "May my mind blossom like the Hibiscus (Jaba) flower at the feet of Ma (Kali). The lyrics were originally penned by Dwijen Choudhury and the melody comes from traditional Bengali folk music. The song is well known in West Bengal and was specifically popularized by Pannalal Bhattacharya.
